The sacred at its heart: the Festival de La Chaise-Dieu brings together thousands of music lovers and internationally renowned artists in the heart of a small village. And at the heart of an exceptional Gothic heritage: the Abbatiale Saint-Robert. With astonishing acoustics, top-of-the-range programming and a warm atmosphere… everything is in place to offer festival-goers exceptional moments. For over half a century, the La Chaise-Dieu Abbey has been the setting for this festival of sacred, classical and chamber music. For 10 days, every year, at the end of August.

Coutellia is Europe’s leading knife festival. Every year in Thiers, it brings together professionals and amateurs from France and around the world. Over the course of a weekend, the entire cutlery industry assembles in the heart of its world capital: 300 art cutlers and cutlery manufacturers from 22 different countries, as well as some twenty suppliers of raw materials and equipment for the cutlery industry.

The Potters’ Market in Bort-l’Étang brings together dozens of local craftsmen over the course of a weekend. It perpetuates the memory of a ceramics tradition that goes back two thousand years. As the site of numerous archaeological digs, the Lezovian basin keeps the tradition alive.

Les Concerts de Vollore was the first festival to be held in the Puy-de-Dôme region, in 1978, and takes place every year in July. The association Les Rencontres Arioso thus brings together lovers and enthusiasts of classical music. Keen to add a different touch to Thiers’ cultural landscape, it has since established itself as an essential part of summer programming.

The Garlic Fair awaits you in Billom, in the heart of Auvergne’s Tuscany. The Mediterranean sun invites itself into your vacations. Every August 2ᵉ weekend, the town of Billom hosts the Garlic Fair. An event that has become a must for both Auvergne garlic fans and its producers. 200 exhibitors and 60 retailers attract nearly 20,000 visitors every year. In 2024, we look forward to seeing you on the weekend of August 10 and 11 in the streets of Billom.
