The largest mountain bike area of France and Auvergne
Because the beauty of the Livradois-Forez landscape sets the scene for ever more exhilarating trails, our region is a prime destination for mountain bikers. Those looking for a large-format playground are sure to find what they’re looking for. Now connected, the trails of the ” Massif des Bois Noirs ” and ” Ambert-Crêtes du Forez ” FFC mountain-biking areas form France’s largest ever mountain-biking area since 2020.
From the north to the south of the Livradois-Forez Regional Nature Park, these areas certified by the Fédération Française de Cyclisme join up at the Col des Supeyres. This unprecedented network of 125 signposted mountain bike trails now covers almost 2,780 km. It also covers no less than four départements: Allier, Loire, Puy-de-Dôme and Haute-Loire.
In addition to these routes, there are also those of the Espace VTT n°1 in Le Vernet-la-Varenne and the Quatre Vents in Aubusson-d’Auvergne.
