Follow the paths that lead from jasserie to jasserie, through the vast landscapes of the Hautes-Chaumes, where heather heath dominates. In the distance, thatched roofs mark the long summer dwellings. From these unobstructed heights, you can also enjoy views over the Ance valley and the Auvergne mountains. Panoramic views!

4. Fresh air on the Rocs

Take a trip to the Bois Noirs, near Thiers. The Rocs, promontories with views of distant summits, are the rhythm of your hikes in the Thiers mountains. Two 17 km loops take you from 611 to 1183 m. Breathe in the scents of the fir forests and contemplate breathtaking landscapes. You’ll come across some royal milestones. You’ll also admire the workshop-houses with their large glass roofs, testimony to the intense activity of home-based cutlers.
